Hotel has 24 hour desk - didn't need it but always reassuring should you need it. Staff friendly and welcoming. Hotel is a short walk from the tram line. Metro very good in Nice - took me time to get used to the fact you need to go to a separate location to change lines but easily done. Room very comfortable and a good size. Not far from the main railway station - a short walk only (about 5-10 minutes). Plenty of restaurants and takeaways close by so you won't go hungry. Supermarket near the railway station as well and so useful for those extra bits you always seem to need. I found Nice a really pleasant city to visit and was grateful for the 3 day travel ticket -- which you can use on buses too (which were useful to get to the museums uphill for this old geezer).

Great location . Handy the Nice tram system , literally at the end of the road . Nice Ville station 5 mins walk away. Sobrilliant transport link location. The hotel is a totally adequate standard to explore Nice and surroundings . Transport links on the doorstep for Monaco, Monte Carlo , Eye, Cannes and Antibes. Main train station 5 mins away for main line, TGV and TER . Nice and theSouth of France is wonderful to explore from Hotel d'Ostende and your on a modest budget .

It is my 3rd time enjoying the unrivalled hospitality of Hotel d'Ostende. As a hotel professional myself, this hotel is a shining diamond of Nice, France. The staff, both at reception and uphouse are extremely helpful, obliging and seem to work in a very pleasant atmosphere, which clearly permeates and enhances their professionalism. With many further happy memories of the splendid Hotel d'Ostende, I look forward to my return. James Ryan Ireland.

We stayed at the hotel for one night, and it was a pleasant surprise. Based on the comments, we expected a less favorable experience, but the room was simple and clean. Personally, I liked the bed linens and the comforter, which were perfect for the night. The hotel is very close to the center, with a McDonald's just a 3-minute walk away. After our stay, the receptionist kindly allowed us to store our luggage.

The room was big, the bed had a nice size, I also liked the big windows and the fact that there was a hairdryer in the bathroom. Also, it is placed close to the train station and tram stations.
